Environmental Risk Assessment of Pharmaceuticals in the Environment

Environmental risks of pharmaceutical residues in the environment are assessed. Target pharmaceuticals were chosen based on preliminary risk assessment using available information. In the present study, five pharmaceuticals are chosen as and predicted no effect concentrations will be derived, from which ecosystem hazard quotients for each chemical will be calculated.
